I'm using for a dual-fuel system (heat pump and NG furnace) with outdoor thermostat to keep heat pump from operating below 50 F. Been using in emergency mode this winter because gas is so much cheaper than electricity. Emergency setting allows using furnace only. Only complaint is I wish they would call it something other than emergency (always flashing); but they all do that. Would prefer seeing something like in aux mode instead of a flashing "EMER". Wife thought there was a problem and had to explain that it just meant we were bypassing the HP and going directly to furnace. Also will control our central AC but haven't tried that yet.

This thermostat was very easy to install and just as easy to program. In less than 30 minutes, it was installed and programed for heat and cooling.
