When I connected the unit. No light came on to indicate that it was working. No room temperature or settings could be conducted. But led me to the real problem. The original installer of the HVAC central unit did not properly connect the common of the 24 VAC to the HVAC. This is why the customer had so many problems with the first original thermostat. After the common wire was properly terminated the new thermostat performed well and the unit lite up as intended. This then allowed the thermostat to properly work as intended.
