Tested this unit in my home for installation in apartments. This is a sleek simple unit that can operate with just two wires (24v AC). It does require two AAA batteries to operate. If they die or are removed, you lose your heat! The thermostat has a programmable temperature stop which i'm hoping tenants won't research to learn how to reprogram. The unit maintains a memory of the programmed settings if the batteries are removed.

For me, thermostats don't get any better than this non-programmable Honeywell. Installation was a breeze and I can see the large display without my reading glasses. I set one temperature for heat, one for cool; the backlight came on as soon as I touched a key to make an adjustment. If you don't like fussing with all the time/day/week adjustments on your fancy thermostat, this one will simplify your life a little.
