im a professional since 1972 ive installed many controls the wires from the out door sensor are so fine you could not strip them to connect and the latch was so thin it broke but even after all that it would not bring on the humidifer in auto or manual mode the out door temp was below 35 degrees how can i get a refund

I installed a new built in Humidifier and was looking for a better Humidistat than the manual unit that came with it. I wanted to bench test it before installation to make sure it would work okay with my Humidifier which was a different brand. I could not get the unit to function at all. I carefully read the installation instructions and before returning the unit called the technical support number. I found out the the outdoor sensor needed to read below 50 degrees in order for the unit to operate. No mention of that in the installation guide. The directions for programing the unit are very confusing and do not cover all the settings. Another phone call to technical support is in order. The humidity reading on the unit is approx. 10 points different from another humidistat that I put along side of it. I placed a third unit along side and it was 10 points different as well. My conclusion: the reading on the unit is off 10 points of relative humidity. Not what I was expecting for a unit of this price.

This was easy to install and works perfect. Once I fine tuned it to my home it has worked great. I would absolutely recommend this.
