The H8908DSPST Humidity Controller is used with portable and central unit dehumidifiers that accept 24 Volt Controls, or for mildew control with air conditioning systems. The H8908DSPST has a spst, snap-acting, dust-proof switch and are designed for wall or surface duct mounting. Color White. Can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Twelve-inch ribbon of thin, moisture-sensitive nylon ribbon wound around three bobbins effectively gives optimum control for reliable operation under changing ambient conditions. I ordered this dehumidstat to save $$$ while I am away from central Florida during our very humid summer rainy season. It is easy to install because it's just a switch installed in the line that sends current to the outdoor A/C condenser. But the setting of the control knob is very specific. I set mine at 60%(actual as measured by an external meter) which reads about 68% on the Honeywell control. Be sure to set your thermostat to 79 degrees (no higher) or the system will run too long--costing you money.
