My old float valve was really old - 21 years. The new assembly is a better, less complicated design, and seems to function well. The adjustment for level in the water tank is simple and straightforward. Removing the float to facilitate removal of the water tray is much easier.

The float in the picture is yellow and round shaped. The one they sent me was white with a square boxy shape. I could not adjust the float out enough to stop the flow of water into the pan. I ended up cleaning my old one (yellow) and reusing it. I sent the new one back this morning[...]
