This is the only stat I can use with our system that enables seniors to have a display large enough for them to read. The price saves me several hundred dollars over buying it through normal chanels.

Comments about Venstar Venstar Slimline Programmable MultiStage Thermostat - T1800:
This product has a horrible user interface for programming the thermostat and the user manual is not written in an intuitive way. Unless you are a process engineer wanting multiple setpoints and different programs for every day and 4 periods for every day, avoid this thing. I have 3 thermostats in my house and it took over an hour to program each one. And if you want to change the program, you'll spend another hour doing it. Very unintuitive design and poorly written manual if your looking for a programable thermostat. The company needs to hire a user interface expert and someone who knows how to write documentation. All the bells and whistles with no easy way to use them!

Comments about Venstar Venstar Slimline Programmable MultiStage Thermostat - T1800:
After finding that the Honeywell and Hunter units do NOT have a temperature differential adjustment, I did some research and found these unit's comparable in price and way above the control ability of the others. When you have a +/- 1 deg like the first units, your AC will cycle considerably more causing a more frequent startup load for the compressor and electricity and worse than that fails to remove the humidity due to the shortened run time. As far as I am concerned, the non-adjustable differential t-stats due more harm to the environment and home owner than anyone realizes. Just my 2 cents worth!
