Excellent project! It may be a little expensive compared to the standard grills you can buy at the hardware store, but the ease of installation and quality look are worth the price. I could not believe that it only took a few minutes to complete the work. I used this as a wall unit rather than a ceiling unit.

One plus this grille has is the feature allowing for mounting to a drywall (or other panel) ceiling or wall, in that it mounts just like an "old work" electrical box. On each of the 4 screws is a 'wing' that swings out to contact the back side of the mounting surface as they are tightened, once inserted into the hole cut for mounting it. This allows for a snug fit, yet reversing the screws allows for easy removal if necessary. The internal side of the grille has a stepped "tear off" flange mount for either 6", 7", or 8" duct. I have 2 of these on 8" flex ducts, and one mounted to a typical 8" duct elbow. The ducts can be fastened to it with a zip tie, screws, or duct tape. Assembly is quick and easy.

simple install. All plastic so no rusting. I don't think it will be easy to clean as you can not tank the grill off and washer it without disconnecting it from the ducting.

Quick and easy to install. Used for a basement dehumidifier.
Won't mount to an "Owens Corning" basemet wall which is 3 inches thick. However, if the hole is cut for a tight fit it stays in place without fasteners. I mounted it near the ceiling next to a corner with the slats vertical so it spreads air across the room

Drawing mesurments are incorrect.
The front hole is not 9 & 1/4 inches.
It is only 7 & 7/8 inches.
It required some modifications for my requirements. Otherwise, it is a fine, well made product.

I needed this part to be install in a high ceiling (10 feet) and have a good free standing support. I installed everything in 20 min including the time needed to perform the pipe connections. I would buy this outlet again. It's a good product and it's well constructed.
