Humidity is a necessity wherever you live, but in Arizona I have found that it's difficult to achieve 33% humidity if your starting with 10% on a daily basis and in the winter months that drops to about 5%. Aprilaires "whole house humdifier" is the only real answer. Set automaticly and in concert with a great humidistat I can maintain a comfortable temperature at a low cost, with only the addition of Aprilaires humidity to keep the warm air from rising to quickly. So my best advise to anyone is invest now or pay higher and higher fuel bills while everything in the house dries out too much, from lack of humidity.

The parts fit my humidifier perfectly. Another reviewer had suggested heating the tubing first, so I left it on my driveway in the sun as I replaced the rest of the parts. Once I went to retrieve the tubing, it was pliable and bent easily.

The instructions were not very explicit. The tubing that runs from the water line to the top of the humidifier was very rigid. when I tried to bend the tubing so that the connector that holds the tubing at the top of the humidifier would fit easily into the socket it would not move. The tubing wanted to bend in a different direction than the original tubing. i was barely able to get it all connected.

I bought the kit with two new water panels, new tubing, etc. [...] was exactly as advertised. Only problem was very poor instalation directions. Easy to install the panels of course, but getting the tubing parts assembled without clear directions was a little tricky. All worked out in the end and the unit operates like new.

The Kit came with the feeder tube that had cracked. Replacement was simple and I will probably do this every 3-4 years. Used all parts and humidifier is in perfect order. It's nice not to shell out $100+ for HVAC guy just to look at it.

There were no installation instructions in the kit, but after a few moments I was able to figure out how to change the filters and the water tube. It was relatively easy, regardless. I do not know how easy it would be for someone who is not mechanically inclined.

The filler tube nozzle is the weakest part of the kit. The atttachment ball split when pused into the socket. Fortueately I had a tube of epoxy type cement which did a partial rebuild, otherwise I found the rest of the kit and valve easy to install. Having the manual sent to me will be a help in the future.

The kit was a great way to do a simple check-up for your humidifier. After replacing my standard Thoermostat with a digital about 3 years ago, and not connecting my humidifier, I went on a mission to get this accomplished. The kit had everything I needed to replace parts not used in 3 years and after the easy install, I correctly wired my Thermostat and ALL parts of my Aprilaire were 100% functioning.

My Aprilaire 700 Humidifier was leaking water onto the basement floor so I was not able to use it. After installing the Aprilaire tuneup kit myself, the leak immediately stopped and I am now using the humidifier when the heater is on.

I have very hard Wisconsin water and even with a softener, my AprilAire humidifiers (I have three) and drain lines get pretty calcified with time resulting in leakage. Replacing the drain lines and the water pad supports solved the problem
