Works great in MI garage allowing temps lower than a regular household indoor thermostat, currently set at 35 deg, outside it's 20 deg.

Living in region of the country that sub-zero temperatures are the winter norm, this thermostat can be set much lower than the typical unit, allowing me to keep my vehicles warm enough to start without expending a lot of money to keep the temperature higher. The digital display was not affected by the near freezing setting.

The thermostat works exactly as advertised and is easy to install and operate. However, the display fades badly at temperatures below 40F and is almost invisible. Since the thermostat rating is for temperatures down to 25F I should think that the display would be clear and visible at that temperature. This is an issue for my installation that is designed to keep a space heated above freezing but far below "normal" room temperatures.

I purchased this for my Cayanne natural gas heater in my 1000 sq ft garage. For my setup with the bateries and two wire hook up it a quick 5 minute install and I love it. I wanted a thermistat that went lower than 40 and while I'd still love one that went lower this one works great as it controls down to 25 degrees F. On these really cold days in MN I don't care about getting the garage to 40 (nor do I want to pay to do that even though the garage is fully insulated) so its nice to be able to still put on warm cloths and go out and work in just mechanics gloves. The display can be a little slow when its 20 below here but I don't notice any problem and can still read it. Great product for running a single heater!

I definitely recommend this if you don't need programming. I didn't see any others that would let you lower the thermostat to 25 degrees. The 30's are handy in case it's for a garage and you want to keep it above freezing.

I had a storage area (a leaky old mobile home) that I couldn't set below 45 degrees with a standard thermostat. I had a hard time locating a thermostat that would go lower and save on my heating costs, as I don't really need to heat the area that high. It's very cold around here this year, so I finally looked hard and found this unit. It is perfect for the task. I'm sure it will pay for itself in the first couple winter months.

Product exactly as described. Works great and especially useful is being able to operate at low temp. All other digital stats have a 40 or 45 min temp. This is great for setting just above freezing for climates w/ occasional freezes.

I purchased this product after my old mercury dial thermostat malfunctioned and was unable to locate a replacement locally at a reasonable cost. Not only was this termostat cheaper, but also a better grade than I had looked at. The instructions were so detailed that I, a female paralegal, was able to install it myself. It keeps very accurate temperatures as well. I WOULD DEFINITELY PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN.

When the temp is kept low - as in 32 F, the display is faded and difficult to read from a reasonable distance. Very minor issue typical. Otherwise, it fits my needs perfectly for my home garage/workshop. I need to keep it from freezing, so I keep it at 32 unless I'm working in there. Standard stats only drop to 50 F.

I have been looking for a thermostat for my garage heater that I could set down at 35 or 40 degrees so I make certain I can keep my garage above freezing without breaking the bank.

Easy to install but I wish it snapped on the wall a little tighter.

This a a great thermostat for cold weather climates where you may want to keep a garage at a temp just above freezing. It can be adjusted to 25 degrees F at it's lowest setting.
