It works, but is difficult to evaluate exactly how well. I just change it out every year as recommended, even though I've never had one burn out on me in about 7 years ( The length of time I've owned the unit that accepts them. )

It sanitizes the humidifier on the furnace. [...] It doesn't last very long.(only 1 lasted over 2 years and rather pricey for such a short period of time). A zip to install.

These UV bulbs are a great value. My A/C "pro" charged [$] PER BULB to install! It took me 5 minutes and 1/2 the price to do it myself.
