2-pack Original Factory Replacement FC40R1011 20" x 25" x 4" (actual size 19 3/4" X 24 3/4" X 4 3/8" MERV 10 Replaces older Honeywell model number F35R. The FC40R Return Grille Filter is a high-efficiency, long-life replacement for return grille applications. It captures a significant amount of the airborne particles in the air that circulate through the filter. (Honeywell recommends allowing a depth of seven inches behind the grille to provide space for the deeper filter and airflow through the filter.) Honeywell recommends changing your filter once a year. It may be necessary to replace it sooner depending on the conditions in your home. Filter features 1" lip around upstream side FEATURES • Mounts in most third party return filter grilles (features integral gasket around upstream side of filter). • Provides high-efficiency alternative to one-inch filter. • Captures particles as small as 0.3 micron. • Pleated filter for greater media capacity. • Easy installation. This filter is for our Heat/AC unit. When we have the unit serviced (2x/yr), the service company never seems to have this filter (but will order it for us at a much higher price) and none of the home centers do either. We order a case once a year so that we always have one on hand. It is a good product, efficient, fairly priced and so far, always available!

We had our air conditioning system installed 5 yrs ago and have it serviced annually by the installer. Since our unit is no longer under warranty, this year we decided to change the filters ourselves. It took me a while surfing the net, but I finally found a generic replacement filter from iaqsource.com that was a perfect match and half the price of the Honeywell filter. We still have an annual service check done on our AC unit by the installer, but now it is without the cost of the expensive Honeywell filter.
