I installed the kit in my existing Aprilaire system to be able to use
this simple replacement filter. The upgrade kit was simple to install
and the replacement filters are much much easier than the original
size. I hope they work equally well! Because of the expense, I probably will only do this once per year. I hope the price comes down!

I haven't found any downside to this product. The term "idiot proof" really does apply. I would suggest putting a piece of packing tape on the cover to insure it doesn't come open (the door just clips on).

Got my #213 Filters in just a couple of days, perfect out of the box. I finally installed one last night, took all of 5 minutes. This new filter absolutely pulled more dirt out of the air than the old style and is light years ahead for easy of installation and no more filter combs to break and rattle!!

I converted to merv 213 1 year ago it is very effective and was easy to install and now very easy to change filter. It took less than 5 minutes to go under my home, remove the old filter and add the new one.

This filter is working great. 6 months ago I installed the Aprilaire upgrade kit to my HAC air cleaner. Recently I swapped the first new filter for a new one and was amazed to see the amount of dust that had collected in just 6 months. Seems like there was far more material collected than on the original filters.

These filters for whole house systems are great to use. They are much easier to install than previous models and are way more efficient in cleaning the air. Because they are so easy to install, a homeowner would not hesitate to change filters several times a year. Buying them by the pack also encourages more frequent filter change, thus providing far better air quality in the home and less strain on the HVAC system because of dirt build up in the filter. Truly a great buy.

This is a fairly new Filter arrangement that replaces the Aprilaire 2200 "pleated" filter with plastic combs to space the pleats. The big box stores do not even stock it yet. This filter just slides into the frame and you are done. Replace it twice a year.

The product works well and is easy to install; however, after a couple months it fell apart. I checked on it to see how it was performing and when I took the cover off I saw that the filter element had detached from the plastic top piece causing the filter element to collapse. After closer examination I saw that the filter element was attached to the plastic top piece by two thin beads of glue (looks like from a hot glue gun). This is my second filter so hopefully the first one was just a manufacturers defect. Let me add this was no fault of IAQSource.

I'll trust the MERV rating of 13, although the filter is only 2/3 as thick as the original. Not having to deal with the vanes in the OEM unit is one BIG plus. It seems to fit tight and not allow air to bypass the filter. Assembly is simple.

THE 213 MERV REPLACEMENT FILTER WORKS GREAT,OUT AND IN NO PROBLEM.

Works well however, just as much adjusting to get fingers in as other models. I have used the Merv 10 in 6 units in the past 18 years and they always work well. I assume the Merv 16 will do the same.
