Comments about Acu-Rite Acu-Rite 00992 Professional Weather Station with Wind Sensor:
Aside from the unit looking nice it only gives inside readings accuratly. I have the unit mounted 2 feet out and 8 feet up and I will lose the signal in about an hour after I set it up. You can do this all day long and it's the same, works for an hour and stops receiving the signal. I did everything they said and purchased the special lithium $10.00 batteries and nothing helped. If you think you can get help from tech support then you must devote most of the day to get someone and you still will not have an answer. Next stop will be the trash!

Unless you want to mount the sensors inside, don't bother with this unit. It was a Christmas present and is boxed for return as 15 feet is the maximum range, and that's if the sensors are in the same room as the base unit. 10 foot is the furthest reliable range.
