Comments about Honeywell Honeywell UV100E1043 UV Air Treatment System:

The UV100E1043 we own was part of the HVAC system on a new construction house we bought 3 yrs ago. Bought a replacement bulb from Iaqsource recently thinking dead bulb is why the unit stopped lighting. Followed bulb replacement procedure in UV100E1043 owner manual to the letter, still won't light. Used Multimeter to probe base unit's contacts for bulb handle-- no current. Probed the AC outlet the UV100E1043 is plugged into-- 120V AC indicated on the multimeter,i.e. outlet is functioning. Bulb is not getting any current from base unit when heating/cooling system is on. So this UV100E1043 lasted a big three years of service before it died. HVAC contractor wouldhave obtained the UV100E1043 about a year prior to our buying the house, so it should still be within the 5 yr warranty. We are going to try a warranty claim, but not holding our breath, doubt Honeywell will stand behind their product.
