Model with power cord also available The AireShare room-to-room ventilator makes hot or cold rooms more comfortable. This innovative product is perfect for homes with split systems, or window AC - or for people using space heaters and woodstoves that want more heat in adjacent rooms. The AireShare can be installed in any unobstructed interior wall with studs 16" on center. It uses the cavity between studs to pull cool air from floor level or warm air from ceiling level and distribute it to an adjacent underserved room. Interior use only - not intended for ventilating moisture from bathroom. BENEFITS: Blends with any decor Classic grille and sleek diffuser No exposed electrical cords Whisper Quiet Operation Low Sone cross flow blower 50% quieter than any other through-wall fan Easty to install Quickly installs in interior finished walls Hardwire and concealed power cord models available AireShare Components: * Blower Assembly - fan wheel, motor, electrical junction box * Intake Grille - goes in front of blower assembly on intake side - 15 3/4" W X 7 3/4"H X 5 /16" D * Diffuser - scoop design directs air into adjacent room - 13 1/8" W X 3" H X 4" D (requires slot measuring 1 1/4" high x 13 5/8" wide) SPECIFICATIONS: Volts: 120 Hertz: 60 Amps: .50 Maximum Watts: 25 CFM: 75 RPM: 1800 Sound: 42 dB (1.15 Sones) INSTALLATION NOTES: * When sawing through sheetrock you must stop if you detect the saw blade coming in contact with any wiring or plumbing. Investigate further to determine if possible to safely still use this wall cavity space. Switch to another stud wall cavity if necessary. * Determine the stud wall section that you want to use to mount the Blower and Diffuser. It may be preferable to select a stud wall section that contains an electrical outlet for wiring. IMPORTANT: Wall studs must be spaced a minimum of 16" o.c.. Mark inside edges of studs the Aireshare will be installed between and verify there is at least 14" between the inside edges. Slide a stud finder down the wall between the studs to verify the stud wall cavity is completely open. * Typical installations will have the Diffuser high and the Blower low, but there may be instances where it is desireable to have the Blower mounted high and the Diffuser low to take air from the ceiling level.

Comments about Tjernlund AireShare Room-to-Room Ventilator Wall Fan:

We heat using a wood stove. Our bedroom and bathroom were always cold since they are far from the heat source. This fan made all the difference! No more freezing after a shower! This product perfectly distributes the warm air from the adjacent room and it is super quiet.

Comments about Tjernlund AireShare Room-to-Room Ventilator Wall Fan:

I installed in our living room that has a wood burner. It is always 75-80 degrees and I wanted to move some of the hot air back to the other end of the house. I put the blower up high, as heat rises and the exit vent about half way down the wall. It does not move as much of the hot air as I would like. If I didn't have to holes in the wall I would probably try to sell it, but since they are there, will just leave it in.

Nice unit. It's EXACTLY what we needed to draw the heat from the wood-stove heated addition into the main house.
Went in with no problems, and the noise level (quite low) is more than easy to live with.
As a guy who has been doing renovations for more years than I care to divulge, I'm not easy to impress, but this little unit did it! I'm impressed!

Comments about Tjernlund AireShare Room-to-Room Ventilator Wall Fan:

I had this installed by an electrician, who attached a thermostat to it. I use it to transfer cool air from a too cold, air conditioned room, to a room that has no air-conditioning. It's very quiet, because it operates in-between the walls. The room that receives the cold air has only a narrow slit showing, & the vents are barely noticeable in either room. Unlike some through-the-wall fans, you cannot look through the fan to see into the other room, a good thing, since one of the rooms is a bedroom. Although I like all those things about this fan, the biggest drawback is that it's not very efficient at transferring the cool air. In a couple of hours, it brings the temperature down only by 1-2°, from about 77° to about 75°, not enough of a cooling effect. It is more efficient at lowering the humidty, bringing it down from about 75% to 69%. The electrician who installed it recommended opening the door (or window) a bit in the room to be cooled, to allow the warm air in that room to escape as the cool air entered that room. That did improve the cooling effect, but is undesirable in that it leaves a bedroom door or window open. I would like this unit better if it pushed more cool air into the warm room.

Comments about Tjernlund AireShare Room-to-Room Ventilator Wall Fan:

Used this fan to move air into and out of a bedroom so the window and door could stay closed for light and sound control. (Sleeping during the day.)

Fan was easy to install. Nice clear instructions.

It's a little noisier than I would like but not objectionable.

Works as advertised.

Comments about Tjernlund AireShare Room-to-Room Ventilator Wall Fan:

The product was used to get rid of excess heat in a walk in closet caused by the exhaust of a wine cellar chiller. The unit was easy to install and quiet. We used a thermostat to control the off/on funtion of the unit. It is extremely well built, no vibration or rattling. I would highly suggest this product.
