Corded side of fan is the output/discharge side. FAQ's: What will the ThruWall fan do for me? The ThruWall fan is designed to move significant volumes of air from one space in a building to the next. Why would I want to move air from one space to another? Similar to the function of the EntreeAir, you may want to move heat from a fireplace to an adjacent space. Similarly, you may want to move cooled air from a window air conditioner to an adjacent space. In other applications: -Move heated or cooled air into a garage from the house. -Move heated or cooled air from one room to another if there is a great difference in temperatures between the two rooms. I.e. one room is nice and warm in the winter. The room next to it, located over an unheated garage is always cold. Simply blow air from the warm to the cold room. -Vent a room that always seems stuffy. -Move air in or out of an All Season room. -Vent a TV or family room with a smoker. -Move air between floors. Which way does the air flow? The air flows towards the side of the fan with the cord/plug. How much air does the ThruWall move? The ThruWall has a powerful 2-speed fan system. On high speed air movement is 200 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). On low speed air movement is 160 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). Can I reverse the direction that the air flows? No. You will determine the direction of the airflow when installing the ThruWall. If you would change you mind at a later date, you can re-mount the ThruWall to blow in the other direction. How much electricity does the ThruWall use? The ThruWall uses 60 Watts on High speed and 50 Watts on Low speed. Similar to a medium sized light bulb. How do I control fan speed? The ThruWall has a High - Low speed rocker switch with Center Off position. How quiet is the ThruWall? Very quiet. The sound levels are 51dBA on high speed and 49dBA at low speed. This sound level compares to the sound of a desktop computer fan. How do I get power to the ThruWall? The ThruWall has a 10 foot long power cord with grounded plug. In what wall thickness can I install the ThruWall? The ThruWall installs in any wall 3.5" to 6.5" thick. The two halves of the fan unit telescope to accommodate different wall thicknesses. Is the ThruWall safe? Yes. The ThruWall has been rigorously tested to the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL®) standards. The through the wall portion of the housing is made of galvanized sheet metal, the grilles are high impact flame retardant ABS. The electric motor is a Class B, Thermally Protected motor.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

Most reviews say it's noisy and that is true if the room is quiet, but once the tv is on or people are in the room talking, you won't know it's running. It does a good job of moving air from one room to another. I bought this fan to move air from the den (fireplace) to the living room and hardwired it to a switch operated outlet.

We have a gas log stove in our living room and was having a big problem in getting the excess heat to the other part of the house. We decided we needed an in-wall fan to distribute the heat and happened to come across this one online. We couldn't be more pleased with this product! The price was very economical and we are very impressed how much air it moves on low, we have yet to have to run it on high. The fan is also very quiet. It definitely solved the heating problem.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

This fan is a great addition. We converted the garage into 2 bedrooms and the front portion of the garage about 6 feet wide became a hallway to the rooms. This space has no a/c or heat duct in it and before the fan this hallway was very warm 81-82 degrees with the thermostat on 78. Now the hallway with help from the fan blowing cooler air from our living room entry stays roughly the same temp as the rest of the house. I expect it will perform even better in the winter due to our use of radiant heat(fireplace)most of the time with the central unit only running at night. Thanks for a great product!

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

Decent fan; does its job, though it's not a powerhouse. Would be great if it came in a few sizes. It is louder than I expected, which I would guess is because of the metal enclosure and metal fan blades. I installed this in my windowless room to bring in air from the main space of the loft. Acceptable product for the money.

The perfect solution for me to get air conditioning from one room to another that isn't able to accomodate its own a/c unit. When installed properly it has a neat look. Have not used it with the air conditioner on yet but I think it will more than do the job. Its' 2 speed output (160/200 cfm)is at least equal to, probably more powerful than the fan output of my air conditioner so it should have no problem getting the cooled air into the other room quickly.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

The Suncourt Thruwall Fan was the perfect solution to my need to move heat from our new pellet stove in the front room into our kitchen. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the result is stylish and effective. I ended up hard-wiring the unit (so as not to have dangling power cords cluttering up the view) and it would have been nice to have had that be an installation option (I had to adapt the provided power cord to make the connection). In spite of that, my wife and I are very pleased with the product and its performance.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

We bought ours to circulate wood stove heat to adjacent rooms. It works great and makes our bedroom much more comfortable. We usually run on low and use high speed for colder nights. I have hard wired and installed a switch below so my wife can operate it (shes short). I installed the fan about 1.5 feet below the cieling to catch the warmest air in the heated room.My only complaint: It has developed an annoying rattle on low speed?like the shaft has to much play in the armature. It's tolerable though, very slight. Use heavier anchors. There are no recomendations included for where the unit should be mounted IE How high etc.

I couldn't get our master bedroom or my daughters room (both on the 2nd fl) above 64F. I installed 2 fans upstairs to draw the heat from our wood burning stove in the living room on the 1st fl. I am amazed, I have had both rooms in the low to mid 70's by just running the fans for about 1 1/2 hours while the stove is burning and the best part is the rooms hold the heat for hours and hours! I am very happy with this product!

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

I bought two units to move air from pellet stove around the house. I installed them immediately and they've been in over 3 weeks now. The units work great! They were easy to install. You can definately feel the difference in the room where the pellet stove is installed. (You know, the room that is so hot you don't want to stay in it) They are installed so that it will also move cool air in the summertime to a room that has no AC! Great purchase and definately one of the cheapest places to buy. I searched many different sites on the internet. Don't be fooled by people complaining they are loud. Would they rather freeze? If you have forced hot air in your home, they are no louder than the noises your vents make. Just purchase them already!

I use this fan to transfer heated air from a woodburning insert in a small den into the adjoining rooms. Even at the low speed it does the job well. This fan was easy to install - I did hardwire it through the wall to hide the cord. The only thing I can complain about is the wall anchors supplied were not very good, but for 79 cents, I upgraded to better ones.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt -- ThruWall Room to Room Fan (TW108):

I use this fan to vent hot air out of my home office. With so many PCs and other equipment running it can get uncomfortably hot. I used to place a fan by the door to blow the how air out of the room but this fan does the job and is out of the way. Best of all the installation was simple.

I must admit I was a little worried about cutting huge holes in my walls but forged ahead anyway. A small dry wall saw ($5) from your local hardware store and you're in business. The installation is incredibly simple and it fits secure and flush.

I also wanted the cord to run down inside the wall and then come out closer to the outlet. The unit is made so that you can pretty much do what you want with the cord and you aren't forced to have it on the side it is defaulted to. I was happy to find this out as I didn't see any reviews detailing if this was possible or not.

I will be ordering one more of these fans very soon for another room.

These fans located in the proper position make all the difference in the world when moving air from one room to another creating a more stable temperature throughout the house.
