Comments about Broan-Nutone Broan Model 511 Room To Room Utility Fan:

I like the power of the unit and the ease of installation. I am not crazy about the plastic grille covers. They could be a little more sleek looking, and also it would be nice if they came with a damper instead of having to install visqueen or cardboard to block the cold air int eh winter...but you can't have everything...

Comments about Broan-Nutone Broan Model 511 Room To Room Utility Fan:

Not a silent fan but very satisfactory. Was replacing same fan that I installed over 20 years ago. This time I added an 8" round aluminum washable filter. Dirt and grease are what doomed my original fan. Price was very good. My local electric store wanted [$] and wouldn't budge.

The fan is used to exhaust interior air from an (unheated) shop into the attic space. The fan is located in in wall of a skylight well.

Comments about Broan-Nutone Broan Model 511 Room To Room Utility Fan:

I am heating my whole house with a wood stove located in one room. This unit moves warm air from that room to another.

It does the job well, I only wish it had a provision for a remote speed control as the existing speed control is located on the fan. I did modify the wiring to incorporate a remote speed control.
