The fan arrived in 3 days. So I was pretty pleased about that. I would have preferred more packing material in the Broan box (there was none) but I guess that's more of a manufacturer issue than with [@] . Then again it's just a metal fan so it doesn't need layers of bubble wrap and styrofoam. It works great and moves the air in the bathroom very well. No steam hanging around after a hot shower anymore. This was the only fan of this type I could find. All the rest vented to duct work which my bathroom didn't have. I installed it so it vents to the outside. A good purchase all in all

We installed this fan to exhaust accumulated heat in an upstairs laundry room. It works wonderfully and looks nice, too.

For a novice installer the installation instructions can be misleading. You have to build a box in the wall cavity to mount the fan, the instruction diagram indicates the fan can be mounted to drywall which is not recommended.

I was worried if this fan had the push to go through the wall turn a 90 degree bend and then push air 6 more feet to the outside. Well it does. It performs very well. A bit loud but it does a great job in our bathroom.

It's not the quietest fan out there, but it's powerful and quick. It's also a nice design.

Installed in both a kitchen and bathroom where none existed before. Fairly easy to install, but I had to drill and chisel thru exterior brick. Instructions need addressing; 6in hole called for not big enough to get flex pipe through, need 6 1/2inches. Flex pipe not pkgd well, came crumpled and needed straightening.

I've used this model a couple of times. It's an easy install and is quiet enough to keep the client happy.
If venting through brick you may wish you had a 6" coring hole saw.

Great Fan and one of the few that I was able to find in this side to fit the wall opening to a dock in a co-op. Even thou it is a little loader then others it is very powerful.

I needed to get cool dry air into an add-on room rather than set up a small a/c unit. I put the Broan Model 512M Through-The-Wall Fan in between a room in the house and the add-on room and it works great.

I bought this specifically for use in a small (7'x7') bathroom requiring a wall vent. It is neither noisy nor quiet, although it is much quieter than the previous ceiling mount fan (which vented into the attic). It is neither powerful nor weak. But it does vent through the wall (which I needed, and seems difficult to find), is relatively inexpensive and compact, and seems to get the job done well. The metal fan housing is light gauge and bends easily. The flexible foil hose fell apart and I had to tape it together. Would I buy it again, or recommend it to a friend? I did fairly extensive research before buying this product. It's not perfect, but I think that it's the best thing available, so would have to say yes.

The fan works fine in our small bathroom and is much quieter than the previous one. We had to buy a new flexible sleeve for installation as the one that came with it ripped immediately.

This fan worked out perfectly. Previous owner took out the fan and threw away. Was an older home and couldn't buy one off the shelf. This fit right in and it works great. Quite, powerful enough for my small bathroom. Was very happy to have found one that worked....

I used the fan only partly: there was an old 7" hole in the wall with an old (1970) fan that made a lot of noise. I just removed the old motor and fan and plugged in the new fan. I used the new cover inside but outside the house the old cover is still there. New fan works fine in the old housing!

Problematic fittting this to my wall thickness. Dimensions were between where the duct would be used or not. Took some alteration to make it functional. very cheap ductwork.
