Tjernlund Automatic 6" Duct Booster Fan with Cord - EF-6AUTO The EF-AUTO Series Duct Booster® fans are designed to increase the flow of heated air in warm air heating systems or cooled air in central air conditioning systems. The EF-AUTO series include a 115 VAC power cord and built-in Pressure Response Control so they can be automatically operated when the forced air system fan/blower is running. The EF-AUTO Series are controlled by an electronic Pressure Response Control (PRC). The PRC control senses positive pressure in the duct work and turns the EF-AUTO Fan on when the forced air system fan/blower is running. The EF-AUTO fan will continue to run after the forced air system fan/blower shuts off to continue to distribute warm or cool air to the room. NOTE: The PRC may momentarily shut the EF-AUTO unit off while the forced air system fan/blower is running while it does a pressure check to determine if the EF-AUTO should continue to run. SPECIFICATIONS: Duct Diameter - 6" Length - 6-1/2" L Cord Length - 5 Feet Watts: 30 Amps: .04 Volts: 120 VAC Maximum Air Temp - 150 degrees Fan Blade Material - Poly Duct Length and Airflow: 0 Feet - 180 CFM 25 Feet - 150 CFM 50 Feet - 100 CFM 75 Feet - 90 CFM - based on straight metal duct. 90 degree elbows are equivalent to 10 feet of straight duct. 45 degree elbows are equivalent to 5 feet of straight duct. Performance is based on 70 degrees F standard air.

This duct fan works very well. The auto switch works as stated. It is quiet and adds little noise when running. The fan was not powerful enough for my application so I am going to change to something more powerful, but for a short duct run, say 8-10 foot it should be fine.

Great product, easy to install and use, but have not been able to rely on it coming on for each fan cycle. It seems to be that the pressure switch is not sensitive enough. I'd say it comes on 60-70% of the time, which is good enough for me.
