Installed in North wall of crawlspace to reduce radon and musty odor in downstairs den adjacent to crawlspace.
Radon level has dropped slightly in the den, but I feel a second set of fans will need to be installed on the South side of the crawlspace for extra ventilation to this area. The den will probably require an official radon floor system be installed in addition to these fans to thoroughly reduce the radon level and musty smell, but the fans are still a nice, quality addition to the whole project.

Easily installed. I used rubber grommets to isolate the fans from the house to further eliminate any noise/vibration. Fans are very quiet. I am still running tests to determine most efficient number of vents to leave open in my crawl space. Fans did have an immediate impact on lowering crawl space humidity.

We had a difficult crawlspace problem in a 100+ year old house. Installation of HVAC ducting had seriously restricted natural ventilation and moisture accumulation was out of control. We have installed a mechanical system using an UnderAireT 220 (reversed) to push air into the crawlspace. The humidistat is on the outside and senses the weather outside. On the far end of the crawlspace we installed, at opposite corners of the space, two of the "110" units to exhaust air at the same time the "220's" are blowing in. We are trying to maximize the flow of crawlspace air when the humidity outside is below 50%, or some other level we might decide on later. Our limited experience to date is promising in a year of record heat and humidity in western South Carolina. It's too early for us to make conclusive comments about the product. Our best comment at this time is that the Tjernlund equipment gave us the opportunity to design and install an unconventional system.

East to install, very quiet motor, I would purchase this model with the dual fans. Great application for a crawlspace. Great for moving air and eliminating moisture. Fan has its own thermostat and humidistat. A must for a fan in the crawlspace. Fits easily over the ventilation grates. A nice long chord as well to plug into an outlet.

The installation in my crawl space was easy considering the unique challenges of my 60 year old house, because the mounting plate was nicely adaptable; the fans have been working well for several weeks nonstop without vibration or excessive noise; nice air flow and already a noticeable difference in air quality within the house (not so damp and musty smelling)...just wish that I had bought this product years ago!

The ventilator seems to be working fine. It was a breeze to install given that I already had an outlet available near the crawlspace vent.

With the humidistat set at 60%, it has yet to shut off in the nearly two weeks it has been installed. Not a surprise considering this is a house on the coastal plains of Alabama.

It seems to be making a difference in the musty smell of the crawlspace. It will take me a full year of observation before I can really recommend or not recommend this product.

I purchased one then ordered a second after installing the first. I can hardly hear it running from inside the house. Go for the double fan unit for the extra air movement. Installation could not have been easier. Don't drill anchor holes in mortar joints or they will waller out and the anchors will not hold. I threw away the plastic anchors and used lead anchors. Much better holding power.

i bought this product because of an odor coming from my crawlspace. i think it will do the job. haven't had the smell return but it has only been installed for 3 weeks now. this fan was easy to install, it literally took 20 minutes. it is a bit noisy though, but i put it under the kitchen so it doesn't matter. yes i would recomend this product.

A bit noisy kinda like an attic power ventilator. I used hard rubber to sound mount all four mounting screws. That helped. Dried out my crawl space in about a week.

We needed to move air in a storage container that I store an antique truck.

We had to mount it in the upper part of the container or the tires of the truck would hit the fan when we drove the truck in or out.

I also wanted the fan in the front of the container because the truck is so big we cannot get past it and wanted to be able to access the fan without moving the truck.

We cut holes in the side of the container and installed a grill over it. We installed a like grill on the other end so the air will travel the length of the space.

Container is 48 feet long, 9 feet tall and 8-1/2 feet wide.

Kind of early to tell if this is going to get the job done since colder weather has set it, but I sure hope this solves the problem of the truck sweating!

I am using this product to vent a ~1800 cubic foot crawlspace. I had a terrible smell down there and within two days the fan eliminated the smell. It might have gone faster if it were not a sealed space with just the one vent where the fan is. The fan is a bit noisy because it is attached to the frame, it's not too loud but you can hear it on the side of the house the fan is attached to even on the second floor. The humidistat works great and I have had to set it at ~20% to keep it running constantly. We recently had 17 degree F night temps but the temp control did not turn off the fan, most likely due to the crawl space being warmer as none of the pipes froze. This product does what it says it will do. As for durability I can not comment on that as I have only had it 2 months. I would recomend it to anyone wanting to freshen the dead air space of a sealed crawl space.

Put two of these in a very humid crawl space. Humidity had to be 100%. Some of the joists were saturated and mold was present. Used 6 mil poly for the vapor barrier and added two of these at opposite ends. After 3 weeks all the wooden members were dried and humidity was much lower. The mold was dried and flaking off. The only caveat is the humidity control doesn't seem very sensitive. ..perhaps it take a lot of time to adjust.
