Product is quiet and performs well compared to the Nutone that was removed from a ~100 sq. ft. bathroom. I recommend disassembling the product to just the frame. Install the frame and wiring. Then install the components to the frame.

You will need long shaft Philips driver tools with a fastener holder to do this. Also having long nose needle nose pliers for the delicate wiring work helps. Take your time building a strategy and working slowly. It is hard to get the wiring together in the box, but with different length leads and crafting the sequence it is easier than many automotive jobs I've done.

Installed it 1 week ago to replace a Contractor's Grade Broan light/heater/vent that was 4 scones. Wow is this one quiet at .6 scones. The heater is also more powerful. Luckily I had read on line that the heater heats up for about 30 seconds before it kicks in or I would have thought something was wrong. I made a header to do the install so I didn't have to climb into the attic. Wish it came with the wire stress relief plugs and the 4" hose clamp. Also wish that the connection wires were more accessiable than they were. Tight fight getting all the wires into that little box and making the connenctions. Finally wish that the grille was a bit bigger to cover the entire hole I cut into the ceiling, now have a little patching to do.

Much better than the Broan I replaced.

I bought this as a replacement for a very noisy (~4 sones) Broan bathroom fan. After I installed it, I was surprised that the Panasonic was only a little quieter. Then I was even more surprised that the heater came on, clicked, and then went off, never to run again. The air does circulate better, though having a vent that blows in and out at the same time seems odd.

I installed this in a new bathroom that I rennovated (hired contractors). This unit far exceeded my expectations. The light is amazing - super bright (and compact flourescent is energy efficient, but light is nice) or dim (on nightlight - nice touch). The fan is barely detectable - seriously, I asked the contractor to come back because I thought it wasn't working! And the heater is instantaneous and powerful.

I would skip the switch recco that the company suggests. I consolidated into another set from a home store that's nicer and less "stuff".

I just installed the unit, so I can't tell you about longevity, but my initial reaction is "Wow". I wish I would have bought the same unit for my other bath. Bummer for me.

Perfect for the bath. The heater is quiet and heats the room quickly. The exhaust fan is powerful and quiet. We don't use either of the lights because our bath has many other lights but if you need a light and/or a night light, this unit has them. Installation is straight forward but I chose to install a dedicated 20 amp line because of the heater.

Better quality than other heater units. This was design to work with compact flourescent lamps. This unit has a very small wiring box and is difficult to connect the wires. I saw this mentioned in other reviews, so wired the unit before installation - it was easier.

Love the Fan the Install went without a hitch, well except we had to cut an block a joist since, I have soffits on both sides of the bathroom and it would have been about 8 inches off center and crowded towards the shower, which I didn't want. Used Flexible insulated duct from Menards which was on sale for 9.99 and the Soffit vent from there works great as well, has a nice look and spring to prevent insects from entering. This fan is quite; all you can hear is the air moving My wife loves the heater. The fluorescent light is nice and white no weird color shades. It is instant on without gradually flickering getting brighter.

Everything I hoped it would be and more!

amazing. my Nutone fan/heater/vent/light would burn out every 2 years. i would have to climb in the attic to repair it-not fun. this unit is slightly bigger so i had to make a larger opening. The hassle was all worth it-even with the extra cost this unit works so much quieter and seems so much better in quality that i highly recommend it. another nice feature-fan delays blowing until heater fully ready-no cold air!
