Its as advertised, extremely quit fan unit, florescent light is very bright but not harsh, and the night light is a very useful feature. Now the cons, had to install a sheet metal screw on one side of the bracket that holds the electrical housing and the 4 inch adapter, I could not believe it was held together with a piece of box tape. The electrical box on the fan unit is too small for all the wires, there is lots of room to increase it size. Also due to the protrusion of the electrical box and the 4 inch adapter I had to make the cut out larger to get the fan housing in place.

This bathroom fan is QUIET and POWERFUL. The lights are quite adequate for the bathroom area.

Versatile mounting can be adapted to most situations. I replaced a smaller 50 cfm fan with this. Had some trouble due to space limitations since old one was much smaller. Blower is very quiet, but it is not so quiet that one cannot hear it.
One issue with this is that the outlet damper is not tight sealing when closed (most of the other fans I looked at had a tight sealing outlet damper), so if one wants to have no air movement when the fan is off it needs another sealing damper at the other end of the ductwork. Then having two dampers in series may reduce the fan volume due to the additional pressure drop. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for this

This model was recommended by our electrician. We bought it then he installed it for us. At first we thought it wasn't hooked up but then we realized the fan was just that quiet. Only the faintest of sound is present. I take hot showers which generate a lot of steam, this fan takes care of that completely. The mirror is never foggy.

We used this for 2 bathroom renovations and are very impressed with its quiet operation. The nightlight feature is a nice plus for a guest bathroom.

Installation was a bit tricky, only because the elctrical box was a bit tight, and the 3 connectors for the fluorescnet light, the fan and the night light were too tighly bunched. But once, it installed it is a great fan/ light. Runs quite with good draw.

This fan/light was installed above an enclosed Lasco bathtub that is fitted with a Lasco fiberglass "canopy". Works great, provides needed light, and is quiet. Venting is through the attic to the roof.

Installed in med size bathroom (~65 sq ft) and works very well. The best feature is how QUIET it is! We installed it on a switch with a timer turn-dial so it can stay on past the length of the shower to completely remove steam from the bathroom. It isn't a very sleek design, but since its on the ceiling it's ok. The nightlight feature is good in case people need to find their way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. [...]

This is a great fan, much quieter than the horrible Nutone light/fan combo that it replaced. The Nutone was extremely noisy and cold air came in from the attic during the winter. The Panasonic is extremely quiet and I don't really feel any cold air coming through since the fan is high quality with a good damper, and I also caulked the base of the fan from the attic. The light illuminates the shower area well, and uses very little electricity with the 2 CFL bulbs that are included. We typically leave the fan on for hours at a time since it's rated for continuous run by Panasonic. I'm planning on a installing a basement bathroom in the next few months, and I'll buy the same fan again. I'm very pleased with it.
The fan came quickly and arrived in the original Panasonic box in great condition. I'm glad I chose this company to buy from since their prices were low and shipping was fast.

Redoing the bathroom .. the girls made a wish list: New Tub, twin vanity, tile floor, new toilet AND A QUIET FAN!
Really, our old fan was so noisy at 1.5 sonds and 50cfm that the girls never used it ... made it too hard to hear the radio. The windows sweat, the walls sweat, the mirrors fog for an hour ... made me mad.
Purchased and installed this puppy ... wow! I powered it up with no load and not installed and it makes no noise. You put your hand in front of the air stream and it ramps up to keep the 80cfm rating then you finally start to hear it, but only if you are not talking and the radio is not playing.
I installed in on a 4" metal duct that curves up above the attic insulation then turns 180 degrees for a 6' run to my eaves where it terminated in a 90 degree "under eaves" diffuser.
Naturally, the dead ending partly blocks the air flow, and the unit ramps up to keep the rated cfm, which creates a bit more noise but you still have to stop moving, stop talking and have a quiet room to notice that the fan is running.
Our new tub is a dome top with an interior light, so I installed a double pole switch on the tub light and tied it in parallel with the fan ... so you can't shower without running the fan. Then I tied the 4W nite light to the fan wire along with a Leviton motion sensor.
When you walk in to the bathroom, you automatically get the nite light and the fan. I programmed the motion switch for a 5 minute delay off.
Now the mirrors never fog, the windows and walls never sweat, and the room never smells after people have done their thing. The girls never complain that they cant hear the radio while showering and without the nite light showing us that the fan is running ... you really cant tell. Having the nite light default on motion is not just good for the 2am trips, but guests dont have to hunt for switches when they first enter the room after dark ... I have had several guests comment on how cool that is.
The vanity lights are not installed while I sheet rock, so the only light is from the flourescent lighting in the fan ... it is bright enough to work/shave with ... just not quite enough to see under your chin while holding a hand mirror (8-)).
iaqsource sent me an email stating that the unit was out of stock. My first thought was "oh great another scam place that I have to haunt to get my product...like the electronics dealers" ... hapilly I was quite WRONG ... the day they said they were expecting restock, I received another email stating shipment and tracking number. the unit arrived on time, fresh, clean, new, pristine etc. Love it. The guys helping me sheet-rock have asked where and what so I am sending them the link to the page from iaqsource ... which is how I came to write this review.

Very quiet and powerful. It does get a little noisier with longer (20+ feet) exhaust ducts but it maintains its effectiveness.

I helped my friend put this in my house. Basically I held it up while he attached the screws to the joists and connected the wires. It went up fast (don't forget to switch off at the circuit-breaker!)
I elected to hook up the fan with the light on as opposed to separate switches because I KNOW if the light is not on I will forget the fan is on (so quiet). Didn't bother with the night-light either because I am too lazy to do the wiring for another switch.
The two 18 watt bulbs really light up the bathroom beautifully.
Now my friend wants to replace his exhaust fan with a Panasonic.
I'd say i got an excellent price with delivery from iaqsource.

Keeps the shower steam down to a minimum in the bathroom. Reliable product. Exactly as advertised. May require additional electrical wiring to take advantage of all the features (night lite, separate fan and overhead light).

Picked this fan out for he bath. You can hardly hear it. the nightlight feature is a bit overkill, uses an incandescent nightlight bulb which uses almost as much power as the CFLs. Would be better if Panasonic did this with a low power LED
I'll be installing one in the master bat in a few months.
