Two 18-watt compact fluorescent lamps will provide plenty of overhead lighting while the convenient, 4-watt nightlight will help you find your way through the room in the dark. So Quiet You Might Not Know it's On Whisper-Lite™ fans feature a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. A small wheel turning very fast will create more noise than a large wheel turning more slowly for a given airflow. Our fan uses a wide blower wheel that moves a large amount of air at reduced RPMs. The blower wheel is also designed to draw air in from both sides, which helps keep the noise down, as there is more area for the air to enter the wheel. In fact, it is quiet enough that you might not even know it's on. Continuous, Trouble-free Operation for Many Years This fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years thanks in part to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. Also, since heat is always detrimental to motor life (the cooler the environment, the longer the motor will last), we designed the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. And, the fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust. User-Friendly Installation Detachable adaptors, firmly secured duct ends, adjustable mounting brackets (up to 26"), fan/motor units that detach easily from the housing and uncomplicated wiring all lend themselves to user-friendly installation. This model also features a double-hanger bar system for ideal positioning. Loose fill or batt insulation can be placed directly over the fan housing to prevent heat from escaping.

Installation instructions for existing structure were a bit misleading. Using the header as described in the installation instructions, I could not install the fan as an assembled unit.

We recently remodeled our master bathroom and didn't have an existing bathroom fan - only a light. We had a terrible issue with moisture on the walls which was leaving water stains, etc. NOW - with this new fan/light installed the problem is gone! This fan/light is awesome! It is so quiet! Used to vent bathroom. Best fan I have ever seen. Very quiet and very powerful. Easy to install, modular design is great. Quality very good. Could find no faults. It does have internal damper with fan, but not real tight one as aftermarket dampers one can purchase and install in vent pipe. I purchased this fan for our laundry room to replace the original ugly noisy 17 year old fan. Installation was very simple due to the huge attic we have. I used double face tape on the mounting flange of the fan to hold it in place while I screwed the mounting brackets to the 2 x 4's. This fan is heavy duty, really quiet and it moves the air very nicely. I will purchase another soon for our guest bath room.

I had checked availability at the big box stores; even the expensive units were noisy. I also checked a local electrical supply for this Panasonic unit but it was twice the price I paid here. Very satisfied with the product; super quiet and does a good job removing steam. I installed this over the bathtub in place of a recessed fixture (GFCI protected). Wiring was fairly straightforward although I had to run a new 3-wire cable for the light & nightlight (I used the existing 2-wire cable for the fan). I installed a timer for the fan which is a necessity in my opinion. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend this unit to others.

It is quiet and energy efficient, and brings nice light to an area of the bathroom that needed it. The nightlight is a bonus we now appreciate. If you are retrofitting, you will need to cut a larger hole than is necessary and then patch it to get the fan into the hole in the ceiling. No big deal, just FYI.

The fan and lighting units are seperate modules and can be easily removed from housing. I replaced an existing ceiling light fixture with this in master bathroom to have better ventilation. Once fan and light units are removed, the housing is light and can be easily installed to the ceiling by myself. I have to install new 4" metal pipe in attic to vent to outside wall. This unit is very quiet and did a very good job removing moisture from showering.

This blower/light took the place of my old 70's Nutone and a separate light. The light is bright enough that it can be the only light you turn on when you go into the bathroom. The fan is surprisingly quiet. When the fan is on it sounds like water is running in another room of your home. I am very pleased with it so far.

I started with a Panasonic whisper quiet fan to replace one of the usual cheap, noisy, yet tiny fans you find in most older homes. It was such a marked improvement, I got three more. They are easy to install, very quiet, yet move lots of air. In shower areas I also install a timer switch.

this unit is amazingly quiet. the light is bright and the nightlight is a nice perk. you can hardly hear the fan working. a good choice if you don't want the drone of a loud, noisy vent unit.
