Although the project was very difficult due to a very odd bathroom overhead configuration (I had to return my original fan choice since it required access from above), the ventilation fan was easy to hook up & install. It's nice and quiet, just what I was hoping for.

Being concerned about removal,The old one came out easily. The rest was easy.What a difference from the 25 year old one I removed.So much quieter.Make sure you fasten the frame securely to make it work quietly I can't tell if it's on .

The vent kit adapter that mounts to the side of the fan housing doesn't seal well at all. I will have to take the fan motor out and attack the problem from the inside if possible

This fan was easy to install as was stated in the directions, however as a replacement, getting the old fan out was much more of a job the "remove the old fan". Am very happy with the quite operation and efficiency of the replacement fan.

Not everyone can access their attic. This product fills the need to retrofit a bath exhaust fan without climbing into the attic. A simple design, but so far only Broan makes such a kit.

Installation was pretty easy, good instructions. Note retro fit to an older fan will require cutting a larger hole, messy, but not hard. The rest was well thought out & easy.
My "issue" is with the design of the air dampener / flapper; it is poor. Small plastic pivots that easily unsnap & fall out of shallow holes. I re-did the pivot with a small brazing rod, that extended thru the plastic duct walls. Sorry, but Broan has some re-design work to do here.
Once done, it looks nice. Operation is as described. I would rate it a B+.

I retrofitted 3 noisy, cheap bathroom fans with this kit. 2 of 3 were easy. One
required cutting out most of a floor joist. Still, they went in well and were much quieter than what was in the bathrooms before.
