Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

Unit [...] was exactly as advertised. Even included two Ty-Raps for fastening the 4" flex duct to the fan inlet and outlet ports. Fan replaced a worn out ceiling mounted bathroom exhaust unit. Easy to install in the attic using the included brackets. The power wire from the existing exhaust was reused to feed the new fan. I had to supply the "NM" cable connector where it entered the fan electrical compartment. No vibration and it ventilates bathroom moisture well.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

Fan works great but you need to use plastic flex duct to connect it.
I had used some dryer vent aluminum flex and it was very loud.
Replaced it with HVAC flex duct and it got quieter. I might still put in/make a sort of box muffler to make it silent. Also, the screws are the worst things I have ever seen, just use your own.
Yes, I will probably buy another one if the need arises.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

I was surprised by the soft and rather thin aluminum used in the mounting brackets, and the relatively low quality of mounting screws provided. But, despite these annoyances, the unit does work well and is very quiet - and delivers the CPM as promised. Just don't over-torque the mounting screws - the heads will break off very easily.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

We used the remote motor fan to replace the ceiling mount unit in a small laundry room where the catbox is located. Our primary requirements were that the fan unit had to be quiet and powerful...and it delivered. The fan, along with a motion sensor switch, does a fantastic job of keeping the air fresh in the room without the noise we experienced with the old ceiling mount fan unit. The shipment arrived on time and the fan motor was very easy to install...highly recommended.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

Installed in attic by screwing a 2x4 across rafters and used large hose clamps to install insulated hose out my soffet. Reused bathroom fan and light assy. Just removed motor and blade. Also the insulated hose was purchased from here. I was going to put out the roof but was told by a licensed plumber that has been in business for many years not to do this because they have many call backs for supposedly roof leaks when in fact it is condensation dripping down hose. Depends on climate in your area.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

Great fan. Easy to install. Connect a 4" duct to each end and that's it. The factory supplied mounting screws fell apart while screwing them in (use your own screws). The fan is slightly louder than I expected, but still very quite. Mount it as far from the room opening as possible. There is no longer ANY fog on my bathroom mirror. I highly recommend this fan for bathroom use.

[...] Attaching brackets to fan housing difficult unless you have small fingers. Small plastic piece in wiring box was broken, but not worth sending back. Unit itself works well so far, mounted in attic to remotely vent bathroom. No problem attaching insulated hose using 4" hose clamp I provided.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

I had a downstairs bathroom in a split level house. The only way to route a fan was from the bathroom into the furnace closet, then out through a wall. I was able to put a inlet in the bathroom ceiling, to the fan, then outlet it outside. PERFECT way for me to do the job. This fan with a 4" duct really clears out the bathroom of poisonous fumes! I'm totally happy with the installation, all the parts bought here!

Excellent - Quiet, Powerful, EZ install
By greVerified Purchaser from Fairfax, VA on 5/28/2008
Pros:
Easy To Install, Powerful, Quiet, Well designed mounting
Describe Yourself:
Advanced DIY, Homeowner
Bottom Line:

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

Easier to install than a standard ceiling fan, much more flow and very quiet. Only noise comes from rush of air thru ceiling return.Installed from attic in 1 easy hour. Bracket mounting flanges w/ pre-drilled holes, easy to hang on any rafter or truss. Tricky to attach duct: tends to slip off, even with rubber mounting clamp and duct tape. Needs ribbed or shouldered flange.

Comments about Suncourt Suncourt Inline Centrifugal Fan for 4" Duct:

I am using this as a basement exhaust fan. It is quiet and works well. Though it is not specifically listed, it is speed controllable. The only warning I have is that the the CFM rating given online (i.e. 200 CFM) is how much it can move with no static air pressure. Realistically, it can move 150–175CFM (similar to some other brands). It is still cheaper though and carries a 5 year warranty.
