Filtering of areas where we have carpet.
3 generations of our family have some reaction to mites, dust, pollen, etc. The HEPA filter helps in a big way.

The duracraft Hepa 260 was our first air purifier we purchased. Reason being is because of the misery of allergy season and declared that I wasn't going to suffer through this again. I have descovered sine the first purchase that one needs to have one purifier for the living room and another one for the bed room. Roughly 14" high by same in diamiter. We have three dogs and the dust and dander was getting to be a real problem in our house. So we brought the Duracraft out of the garage ( it was mothballed) purchased a new filter and now we are in business again. The Hepa 260 has three speeds; Super (near hurricane strength) High and Silent. We run ours on High. Now it's only fair to warn you that the 260 moves a lot of air with it's powerful motor; which is louder than our Honeywell 18155 but that is a good thing I we want a powerfull motor to exchange as much volume of air as possible; also compared to the 18155, the Duracraft have more intake vents and moves more air too. The 260 has an optional ozone switch. the jury is still out as to the pros and cons of that issue; but at least you have that option to you. The only thing thats missing would be a change or clean filter lights like on the 18155; but that is a minor issue. We prefer the Duracraft 260 over the Honeywell 18155 by far and it's a disappointment it is no longer available. We vacuume the 260 when the filter looks dirty thus saving [$] n a new filter. Which doesn't seem to effect it's performance. Hepa filters are still available if you search duracraft 260 or model 5030.
