It's cheaper to order online from iaqsource.com than to get our A/C contractor to order. We order oversize large A/C filters for a Trane central unit. What iaqsource.com sells are two-packs of these filters. Swapping them out every 6-months means I order for a full year. I can't find these in retail stores locally. [...]the price is affordable (and 'way more affordable than ordering from our A/C contractor). I order the off-brand rather than name-brand and save even more, it works just fine.

I needed to replace the filter in the furnace that we installed 2 years ago. I was trying to save money and not have the routine twice a year service recommended by the company that installed the furnace and AC. Luckily I found this online and so much cheaper than if I had the company replace it and it was a perfect fit. The only thing is it wasn't very clear which side goes down on the furnace. There is an arrow with airflow showing people which side to correctly install but I don't know anything about furnaces and which direction the air flows so I didn't know which side goes where. I wish it has the wording "wire side toward the furnace" which is more clear for people like me that are clueless.

Installed one of these filters in my American Standard furnace earilier this month and it fit just as well as the brand name filter and at a cheaper cost.

I mentioned in an earlier review that these filters are a near 100% copy of the original Trane filters - the "fingers" that I noted which are not on the original filters do not affect/restrict the filter operation. I have therefore upped my rating to 5 stars after experiencing a lifecycle of 2 Filter-Outlet filters.

If you want to save money and get the exact same performance/fit as the OEM, look no further.

This is the second set of these filters that I have purchased. They are dimensionally perfect and a great fit. When I removed the previous set of filters, they appeared to have done an excellent job of cleaning the household air.

This product fit perfect. You cannot tell the difference between the generic and the name brand filter.

Almost an exact copy except for the cardboard fingers that go between the pleats. Some of these fingers "stick up" and while I don't anticipate an airflow problem, am questioning why they exist as they do not on the OEM version. Minor complaint, but if you order you will see what I mean as they do not show in the filter-outlet pictures.

GREAT alternative to the very expensive OEM filters - basically two for the price of one. These are also supposed to have better filtration than the OEM version. The shipment arrived in two days and installed just as easily as the original. It even comes with a self-stick bag to neatly dispose of the old filter. HIGHLY recommended!

When we had our Trane Furnace & Heat Pump installed a few years ago, we really did not understand how much the factory filters cost - we were getting charged $150 for a 2 pack by the Heating & AC installer, so I went on the hunt for better - I was pleased to find an aftermarket alternative here at half the price, this is my 2nd order and they fit perfectly & work great. There are not many if any other aftermarket alternatives out there, so why pay extra for a name brand (American Standard) when it's just a name...come on!

The replacement filter
was a very good copy of OEM's filter.
The price was substancially lower.
Too early to give a report on performance.
My only complaint was the nearly 3 week lead time.
By this filter, but do it way ahead of time.

My OEM actually had 2 filters contained within the cardboard filter shell. 1 flat filter & 1 large filter with a "zig-zag" pattern (which is displayed in this product picture). This replacement filter only has the zig-zag filter. Too early to tell if the missing second filter will negatively impact the air quality. This replacement filter was also difficult to fit into the A/C enclosure. The cardboard shell was not glued well in all seams. So far, I'm not sure I would order the replacement model again. OEM was definately better quality & fit.

My split A/C installer went out of busuness and I was at a loss to order replacement filters.

We trusted our plumbing and heating guy when they installed our $5000.00 furnace system that what they put in was the best. We did get the best but they didn't tell us that the filters for this unit would be so expensive. We have a child with severe asthma and other allergies so it is very important to change the filter every 3 months. When we tried to buy them from the furnace warehouse company they would not sell them to us wholesale (2 for $90.00),They told us we had to buy them from the company that installed our furnace. When we called that company they told us the price would be $110.00 for one. It is cardboard and fiberglass!!! I had been vacuuming the last one out for 8 months. Thank God I found iaqsource.com! My family is breathing easier and we saved a ton of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
