When we purchased our house the Aprilaire box was installed but someone had gerryrigged a different and improperly sized filter into the container and discarded the comb which is necessary for good operation of the filter. That created a terrible air situation. Once the Aprilaire was installed, the air improved immensely. We require a high efficiency filter due to allergies and now that we have the proper insert, the filter is awesome.

It's a very good idea to change your filters on a regular basis and buying them online is the way to go as you can get the same product for about half the cost

Fits perfectly in my AprilAire filter. The installation instructions on the box are very easy to follow. Takes maybe ten minutes to change out, with big savings over a service call.

This product is exactly what was originally installed. The A/C company told me that to replace the filters would be $100 a piece. Thankfully I took it upon myself to search the internet. The same filter was a 1/4 the price here and is the exact same one the installers put in. For two minutes worth of work they would charge an arm and a leg to install it for you. I don't make that much money and I am not that lazy. Thank You very much and I will be back to purchase more.

The best thing about this product was the step-by-step instructions with pictures that made the installation process a breeze. The replacement filter is identical to the professionally installed initial filter.

We bought an AprilAir filter about 6 years ago. My little boy had a rough time with breathing at night. We tried everything under the moon, but nothing seemed to help. We spent thousands on doctors and many nights in the ER. We had our AC unit changed out and purchased an AprilAir. It helped our son 100%. The filter cleans the air so well that there is vertually no dust particals floating around. Hats off to this product!!!!

The online instructions were complete, maybe even too complete. It took almost as long to read the instructions as it did to do the job. The last time my HVAC man did this it cost me 80 bucks. Of course he said that he looked at the furnace too. Certainly he looked at the furnace, you can't see the filter without looking at the furnace.

I was really impressed how quickly this product arrived. Because I only replace these filters every six months to so, each time it is a bit tricky remembering how to do it. It is very easy to tear the medium if you are not careful. I think next I will order the filter that can be slipped in without having to assemble it.

Great filtering system. My wife appreciates not having to dust as often. The only problem is the design using plastic combs to space the pleats. These take a few minutes to wiggle into place while being careful not to tear the filter. Definitely worth the trouble though!

This product is so simle that it took me longer to open the bax then it did to install. The directions were spot on. I did not realize how the original filter media had started to clog and effect flow untill I put in the new media. This will be a spring tradition or twice a year if you are doing any dust making activities in the house.

The directions that came when the furnace was installed were to contact you local heating A/C service for filter change. Well, that would cost a substantial amount if done by our local heating service. Therefore; I searched the internet and found IAQ as a source of reasonably priced filters. The first time I changed it, I spent a long time separating the filter and putting the combs in. The second time I found a faster way ...read directions and separate the baffles with the first comb, taking the time to put a baffle between each tooth...when done, leave it in place, but not locked into the plastic. Next, insert the second comb next to the first and gently slide it down the baffles to the other end...then the third next to the first and slide it down...finish by using all the combs, slide them into place and lock them in. You are done! A fifteen minute job when done! IAQ is a great source for product price [...]

This is a very efficient filter. Slightly more difficult to replace than a typical filter, but lasts 6 to 12 times longer and really keeps dust down

This is my second Spac-Gard. I had one in my previous home and it was great so I wanted one in my new home. No problems. Change it once a year and no worry as to will I break any wires etc.

Filters for my unit were not available through Big Box stores, had to go back to the HEVAC contractor who installed the air cleaning unit. These are the exact same quality as sold locally but at 1/2 the price.

This filter does a good job of trapping all dust and hair.
However, find a good online place to order them. They aren't avialible from Walmart or Lowes and a HVAC pro will charge you $60 to change a $20 filter.
Also, don't try to clean them. They rip if you try to vacuum them.

In only 5 minutes, I had the used filter removed and replaced. Filter frame readily opens for filter R&R. Some caution must be used when hooking filter fabric over tabs at edge of frame.
