My previous thermostat had such a tiny display, I had to turn the light on, wear my reading glasses, and use a big flashlight to read it. This model is so much nicer. The backlight doesn't waste power, but when lit is bright and very conducive to reading without glasses.

It's touch sensitivity is much stronger than my previous one. That took a few days to get used to, but other than that, it works like a charm.

Happy I bought it.

I purchased this same unit 2 years ago for my main floor and was waiting to repaint my downstairs so I could upgrade that unit as well. Unit works great and is very intuitive.

I installed it in 5 minutes, programmed it in 3 minutes and that was it. It runs great, accurate temps, and the schedule was impeccable. Besides, this unit is a head turner from the average yo-yo or lunch box looking thermostats.

I looked around at a lot of thermostats when it came time for a replacement. I finally found this little gem. Installation was simple, initial configuration was simple, scheduling was simple, and ongoing usage is simple. Best of all there is no compromise of features given the ease of use. I would recommend this thermostat to just about anyone.

I replaced the "standard" thermostat that was in my house with this one. The Pro1IAQ was really easy to install- just reattach the wires to the new base plate. I followed the instructions for the first set up, but the unit is so easy to program, I didn't need them by the time I was finished. One nice thing is that you can take it off the wall if you have a lot of changes to make- the bateries keep it going. I wanted a thermostat that could control every function of my HVAC, and this is it. Differential temp, fan, preheat, minimum on/off times- this unit does it all flawlessly. (the manual explains those functions fairly well, Google helped too). My house is finally warm because my system runs the way it was designed to. Best of all it cut my propane bill almost in half from what it was last month, even though it has been colder. By the way, my wife says it looks great too!

I had a 12-year-old Maple-Chase that was hard to see and very confusing to program. Its only good feature was the adjustable set-back (which is also referred to as a set point). (I do not like the heater coming on every time the temperature changes 1 degree). I had the Pro out of the box, set-up and functioning within 40 minutes. Installation and set-up were super easy. Just follow the instructions! And, it has a setpoint that can be adjusted from .4 degrees to 2 degrees of either side of the desired temperature.

We had a White-Rodgers touchscreen in our previous home. It was a great unit, but having to touch the screen to initiate the backlight was less than ideal. This unit has all the same features (and more!) but includes a dedicated button for the back light.

Great, precise-setting thermostat. Easy to use; especially like the window cleaning function allowing one to windex the screen without messing up the program. Could only ask for a full-time backlight, that's all.
