Worked as advertised and was easy to install. 24VAC supply requirement meant I had to mount and wire a transformer just for the receiver since no other source was readily available.

I was converting from an old 110v thermostat system that was installed too close to a fireplace. This Unit had all the features I was looking for and only took about 10 minutes to install and 5 mins to program. Worth the price!

This was my first experience with a wireless thermostat, but it's a great idea! Builders seem to mount thermostats in the worst places, and this allows the user to experiment with the best location before final mounting. The only con is that the receiver wall plate is huge for no good reason--about 1/2 of it is just plastic for mounting. Also, the HEAT indicator is red, when all others are green. There is no mention of this in the manuals, but I thought it was an error indicator at first.

Had to pay to have it installed because directions were confusing and wiring on furnace hard to correlate. Display is not normally lit up so hard to read until you press a button that you shouldn't need to press. Does not have a energy saver setting which is weird since it is for an energy conscious type user as it is for a heat pump system.

The only con I can think of is the size, I replaced the old thermostat with the central unit. This unit should go in the basement on the furnace, but I'm too lazy to look for the wiring :-) Took all of 30 minutes to get it up and running, excellent unit.

It is in my home. I can take the wireless unit anywhere in the house to make sure that room is the temp I want. The fireplace has no influence on it like the hard wired one.

Everything went smooth and all the LEDs indicate things are fine. A/C works perfect, but we had cold snap and when I set it to heat.....nothing. LED's indicate heat is on, but nothing happens at all. Wiring double checked, should be fine, but...nothing.

Did not work. Unable to install it. Power light did not turn on. Honeywell did not offer any installation support. They stated the product was designed to be installed by Honeywell licensed contractors. I am not the handiest of folks, so YMMV. [...]

Good product that works as described. Instructions need to clarify wiring color codes to make hook up easy. Once W = heat, white, yellow cool, blue fan and red hot is known and that a fifth wire (common) back to control box are known, then it is straight forward to install.

Easy to install.
Works well.
No interference with my wireless network or cell phones.
Useful diagnostic features. (Keep the install manual.)
I like the flexibility in setting the home/away times. You can delete periods that you aren't going use, instead of programming them.

I have a two story house with a downstairs and an upstairs furnace. The oringinal upstairs thermostat (in the hallway) would measure the warm air coming up from downstairs and not activate the upstairs furnace. As a result, the upstairs bedrooms were cold. With the wireless thermostat, I was able to reposition the upstairs thermostat into the bedroom and pesto, the upstairs bedrooms were warm. I choose a wireless thermostat because the ceiling crawl space was inadquate for running new wires for the thermostat.

I had some difficulty installing because the wiring to my old thermostat did not need the extra power wire to close the loop. I tried Honeywell help line and the company that installed my heating unit - both were useless!!! [...]

Wireless unit replaces an existing thermostat as advertised. Easy to install and setup. Great flexibility moving thermostat from room to room. Only disadvantage is that the wireless base station, which replaces the existing thermostat, is rather large.
