Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRVs)Heat Recovery Ventilators bring fresh air into a home while expelling stale air. HRV's are usually recommended for colder climates with longer heating seasons. In the heating season the HRV's air exhange "core" transfers heat from the outgoing, stale household air to preheat the incoming, fresh air. It works the opposite way in the cooling season.
